day of details
-
We’re incredibly grateful to have our closest friends and family joining us in the Outer Banks—a place we both love—as we begin this next chapter together. We’ve chosen to do our day a little differently, and we wanted to share a glimpse of the vision behind it.
When we pictured our wedding, what felt most representative of us was something small and meaningful—an intimate celebration surrounded by the people who know us best. We imagined a relaxed, joyful day spent enjoying each other and the company of those we’re closest to.
The day in our minds looked a little something like this: a cocktail reception at the big house, a short walk to the quiet, beautiful beach for the ceremony, then back to the big house for a poolside dinner at a long table styled with care by our friends. While a less traditional celebration than a big bash, we feel over moon to spend our day focused around something fun, casual, airy, and... well, us ♡
The general structure of the day will be:
Cocktail reception around 4pm at the Big House
Short travel to beach access for ceremony
After ceremony pictures on the beach
Head back to the Big House for catered dinner, drinks & merriment
~
Everyone pray to the weather gods!

beach semi-formal attire is supposedly a ~thing~
ideally, jackets for men and tie or no tie is up to you. there’s no color or theme to stick to or to avoid (except white, lol) and the one true ask Paula has is no shorts.
when I googled this, I found this link that I feel does a good job at explaining it if that helps:

Overall, just be comfy and cute and most importantly, bring your best self ♡
